.Cecilia Payne.

The reward of the young scientist is the emotional thrill of being the first person in the history of the world to see something or to understand something. Nothing can compare with that experience... The reward of the old scientist is the sense of having seen a vague sketch grow into a masterly landscape. —Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin (accepting the Henry Norris Russell Prize from the American Astronomical Society)

Princess Caraboo
Patron Saint of Cosplay

My entry for Draw Things this month. Not entirely finished, but I was pressed for time. You can read about Princess Caraboo, aka Mary Baker here. The image is based on a portrait of her from the time, and her necklace is inscribed with her true initials, M.B.
If I get time to work on this more next week I'll post a revision, but for a 45 minute job - not terrible.
And yes, I absolutely stole the frame from an actual icon of Saint Vladimir.
Like I said, pressed for time.
